The Public Relations Team of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UGM, carried out the production of promotional video content for several study programs, including the Agricultural Microbiology Program. The activity took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with the aim of introducing academic excellence, facilities, and career prospects of graduates to the wider community in a creative and inspiring format.

During the filming process, the Head of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Muhammad Saifur Rohman, S.P., M.Si., M.Eng, Ph.D., the Head of the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program, Dr. Desi Utami, S.P., M.Env.Sc., several students, and the Faculty of Agriculture Media Team were present. This collaboration showcased the learning atmosphere, laboratory practices, and student-lecturer interactions, while highlighting the application of microbiology in sustainable agriculture, the food industry, and environmental management.
The video storyboard emphasizes the message that microorganisms play a major role in maintaining soil health, increasing agricultural productivity, and supporting food security. In addition to introducing a comprehensive curriculum, covering genetics, taxonomy, microbial physiology, and molecular biotechnology, the video also highlights the broad career prospects for graduates, such as quality control in the food industry, biotechnology experts, laboratory researchers, and even opportunities to serve as microbiologists in the military.

With the support of UGM Public Relations and the Faculty of Agriculture, this content is expected to strengthen UGM’s positive image as a university that continuously innovates in delivering academic information creatively and in ways that resonate with younger generations.
Beyond introducing the study program, this activity also reinforces the image of Faperta UGM as an institution actively communicating its academic contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
