
The Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University (Faperta UGM) began its series of 80th Anniversary and XVI Lustrum commemorations with lively activities within the faculty on Friday, July 10, 2026. This event became an important momentum to emphasize the faculty’s commitment to facing the challenges of developing agriculture, fisheries, and food in Indonesia in the future.
The series of activities began with group exercise participated by the entire academic community. After the exercise, participants were directed to the groundbreaking location of the Smart Eco Bioproduction Building. The event continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., who emphasized that the construction of this new building is expected to be a useful facility for future generations in developing agricultural science. He also asked for prayers for the smooth running of the entire Dies Natalis series.
