The collaboration between Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Public Relations and the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UGM continued with the production of a promotional video for the Aquatic Resource Management (MSA) Study Program on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The production involved the UGM Public Relations Team, the Faperta Media Unit, several lecturers, including Dr. Mukti Aprian, S.Kel., M.Si. (Han) and Dr. Sulistiowati, S.Si., M.Si., as well as student representatives. This collaboration reflects strong cross-unit synergy in delivering content that is both informative and inspiring.

The promotional video highlights the importance of managing Indonesia’s vast aquatic territories. The visuals showcase the potential of the sea and coastal areas, student activities in discussions and practical sessions, as well as supporting facilities such as laboratories, field stations, and libraries.
In addition to emphasizing a curriculum focused on conservation, the socio-economic dimensions of coastal communities, and aquatic resource management, the content also underscores the wide range of career opportunities available to MSA graduates. Alumni may pursue careers as researchers, experts in government institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the fisheries and marine industries, as well as educators or entrepreneurs in the fisheries sector.

This production is expected to further strengthen UGM’s image, particularly the Faculty of Agriculture, as an innovative institution in delivering academic information creatively, while inspiring young generations to take an active role in safeguarding and managing Indonesia’s aquatic resources sustainably.
The initiative not only introduces the study program but also affirms its contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
