The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has once again affirmed its global standing through achievements in several major international ranking institutions. These results highlight UGM’s academic quality, research excellence, and contributions in agriculture and life sciences that are increasingly recognized worldwide.

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 under the Agriculture & Forestry category, UGM secured a position in the 151–200 range globally. This achievement underscores the Faculty of Agriculture’s reputation as a center of education and research with international competitiveness, particularly in sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences.

In the THE Life Sciences Ranking 2026, UGM was ranked 801–1000 globally with an overall score of 23.4–29.1. The Faculty of Agriculture demonstrated strength in the industry indicator (51.6) and international outlook (51.9), reflecting its tangible contributions to industrial innovation and the expansion of international networks.

In the EduRank assessment, UGM placed 2nd in Indonesia, 60th in Asia, and 288th globally in the subfield of Agricultural Science. This highlights the Faculty of Agriculture’s consistency in producing impactful scientific publications and citations at both regional and global levels.

UGM also received recognition from the Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) in the category of Agricultural and Biological Sciences. UGM ranked 528th globally, 220th in Asia, 11th in ASEAN, and 2nd in Indonesia. This achievement reinforces the Faculty of Agriculture’s position as one of the leading research institutions in the region.
These accomplishments across various international ranking institutions serve as concrete evidence of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM’s commitment to enhancing education quality, strengthening research, and contributing to sustainable development. With a reputation increasingly acknowledged worldwide, the Faculty of Agriculture continues to strive to produce high-quality graduates and expand global collaborations for a better future in agriculture.
