
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) proudly announces the opportunity for international students and foreign citizens to join the Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture & Fisheries 2026. Carrying the theme “Reimagining Tropical Farming and Fisheries for the New Generation”, the program aims to introduce tropical agriculture and fisheries through interactive learning, cultural exchange, global collaboration, and direct field experiences in Indonesia.
The program will take place from 6–17 July 2026, offering two formats: the Hybrid Program, which combines online learning with onsite field experiences in Yogyakarta, and the Fully Online Program, enabling participants to join entirely online from anywhere in the world.
Participants will gain new insights from UGM academics and practitioners, build global networks, and earn one academic credit equivalent to 45 learning hours along with a certificate of completion. For hybrid participants, the program also includes field trips and cultural activities to enrich the learning experience.

Through this program, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM reaffirms its commitment to fostering international collaboration and preparing a new generation that is adaptive and contributes meaningfully to the sustainability of tropical agriculture and fisheries.
Through the Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture & Fisheries 2026, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM also contributes to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger through strengthening knowledge on sustainable agriculture and fisheries, SDG 4: Quality Education through international experiential learning and academic collaboration, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through capacity building for the younger generation in the global agro-complex sector, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through the promotion of innovation in tropical agriculture and fisheries, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production through the introduction of sustainable agricultural and fisheries practices, SDG 13: Climate Action through learning on climate-adaptive tropical farming systems, SDG 14: Life Below Water through strengthening awareness of sustainable fisheries, SDG 15: Life on Land through education on sustainable tropical natural resource management, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the enhancement of international networks and collaboration among students, academics, and practitioners from various countries.
