LAM PTIP Field Assessment Evaluates the Quality of UGM’s Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences

The Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), received a Field Assessment visit from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences (LAM PTIP) on June 2, 2026. The assessment represents an important stage in the accreditation process aimed at verifying the program’s performance and ensuring that its implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education aligns with established higher education quality standards.

The opening of the assessment was attended by two LAM PTIP assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Dewi Sukma, SP, M.Sc. from the Plant Biotechnology Division, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and Prof. Dr. Siti Herlinda from the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Sriwijaya University (UNSRI).

Meanwhile, from the Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, the leadership and heads of study interests were also present, namely:

  • Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs/Head of Study Program)
  • R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P. (Vice Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources)
  • Subejo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni)
  • Firdausi Nur Azizah, S.P. (Head of Quality Assurance Unit)
  • Agus Sudarwinto, S.E., M.M. (Head of Administration Office)
  • Eka Tarwaca Susila Putra (Head of the Agronomy and Plant Breeding Study Interest)
  • Dr. Ir. Siwi Indarti, M.P. (Head of the Phytopathology and Plant Pest Science Study Interest)
  • Muhammad Saifur Rohman, S.P., M.Si., M.Eng., Ph.D. (Head of Agricultural Microbiology Study Interest)
  • Dr. Ir. Alim Isnansetyo, M.Sc. (Head of the Fisheries and Marine Science Study Program)
  • Dr. Ir. Irham, M.Sc. (Head of the Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics Study Program)
  • Agr. Makruf Nurudin, S.P., M.P. (Head of Soil Science Study Interest)

The assessment process included sessions with study program leaders, confirmation of LKPS and LED data, discussions with internal quality assurance implementers, UPSS management, alumni, external users, lecturers, education staff, and students. Assessors also visited laboratories and learning facilities, concluding with independent work by the assessment team, providing feedback, and signing minutes.

This assessment reflects the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to maintaining the quality of higher education, strengthening academic governance, and fostering collaboration with various stakeholders. These efforts support the achievement of SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
