Commitment to Quality Education, Agricultural Microbiology Study Program Achieves Excellent Accreditation from BAN-PT

The Agricultural Microbiology Study Program , Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has successfully achieved excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) at the undergraduate level. This accreditation is valid from 5 November 2024 to 10 April 2029, as a recognition of the quality of education, research, and community service provided by the Study Program.

The Head of the Study Program, Ir. Ngadiman, M.Si., Ph.D., stated that this achievement is the result of hard work from all academic staff. He hopes this recognition will further strengthen the program’s commitment to improving the quality of education.

“With this accreditation, we hope to continue enhancing the quality of education and produce competent and outstanding graduates in the field. Strengthening the academic atmosphere and supporting facilities are crucial to maintaining this achievement,” said Ngadiman.

Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, added that this achievement reflects the dedication and collaboration of all parties involved in improving the quality of education within the Faculty of Agriculture UGM.

“Through this achievement, we hope that the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program can continue to maintain and improve its excellent education quality, thereby producing competent and outstanding graduates in their field. This is also a manifestation of the faculty’s commitment to enhancing the program’s reputation,” she explained.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Team at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Dr. Hani Perwitasari, S.P., M.Sc., emphasized that this accreditation is the result of implementing a good quality assurance system.

“This accreditation shows that the study program has implemented a good quality assurance system, enabling it to meet the required education quality standards to achieve learning outcomes and support the vision and mission of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM,” she explained.

This excellent accreditation achievement strengthens the position of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM in supporting relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequality, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By prioritizing the quality of education, research, and community service, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM is committed to making a real contribution to the development of knowledge and technology in the field of agriculture.
