The Fisheries Product Technology (THP) Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), carried out the production of a profile video on Monday, May 25, 2026. The filming took place in the THP laboratory and the Fisheries Department hallway, with the aim of introducing the discipline and excellence of the study program to the wider public.

The activity was accompanied by Indun Dewi Puspita, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the THP Study Program, together with Dr. Susana Endah Ratnawati, S.Pi., M.Si., and several students who participated as talents. The presence of faculty leaders and students reflected a spirit of collaboration in showcasing the academic profile and innovation of the program.

Fisheries Product Technology is a branch of fisheries science that focuses on the processing and development of products based on fishery commodities. Through scientific approaches, the program teaches how raw materials from the fisheries sector can be transformed into value-added products, supporting food security and opening opportunities for creative industries based on aquatic resources.

This profile video is expected to serve as an effective promotional medium to introduce THP to prospective students, academic partners, and the general public. In addition to highlighting laboratory facilities and student activities, the video also emphasizes the program’s commitment to supporting the tridharma of higher education: education, research, and community service.

With this profile video, THP reaffirms its role as a center of learning and innovation in fisheries product processing, while strengthening the contribution of UGM’s Faculty of Agriculture to sustainable development goals, particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
