Onboarding Volunteer Media Faperta 2026: Emphasizing the Importance of Journalism and Media in Faculty Branding

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), held the Onboarding Volunteer Media Faperta UGM program on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Agrohydro Laboratory, A2B Building. The event was attended by faculty leaders as well as students selected as media volunteers.

In his remarks, Prof. Subejo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, emphasized that the presence of media and journalistic activities plays a strategic role in building the faculty’s image and branding in the eyes of the public. He reminded the audience that publication is not merely documentation but also a communication tool that strengthens academic and social reputation. “In the 1990s, faculty publications started from wall magazines and typewriters. Today, with digital technology, we have greater opportunities to introduce the Faculty of Agriculture UGM to the world,” he said. read more

UGM Public Relations and Faculty of Agriculture Produce Promotional Video for PKP Study Program

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Public Relations, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta), has produced a promotional video for the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (PKP). The short video, themed “Grow the Future with Prodi PKP UGM!”, aims to introduce the program’s strengths, facilities, and career prospects to prospective students.

The production involved Ratih Ineke Wati, S.P., M.Agr., Ph.D. as Head of the PKP Study Program, the UGM Public Relations team, the Faculty of Agriculture Media Unit, and several PKP students who participated as talents. Filming took place at various strategic locations, including the Faculty of Agriculture gazebo, Studio Agricia, the Green Screen Room, the Rural Reading Room, and the Extension Room, showcasing both dynamic learning activities and the comprehensive facilities available in the program. read more

Faculty of Agriculture UGM Holds Gene Expression Workshop: Mastering Real-Time PCR

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), successfully organized the Gene Expression Workshop Mastering Real-Time PCR: Understanding Transcriptomic Dynamics Under Climate Change at Venture Room, 6th floor, Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC) on Thursday, April 9, 2026. This workshop served as an intensive learning platform for academics and practitioners to deepen their understanding of transcriptomic dynamics in addressing the challenges of climate change.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Mgs. Muhammad Prima Putra, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Manager of AGLC, and Widhi Dyah Sawitri, S.Si., M.Agr., Ph.D., Deputy Manager of AGLC. They highlighted the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in molecular research and introduced the advanced facilities available at AGLC. read more
