The Department of Agronomy at Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully held the Buper Practice event on Friday, 30 August 2024, with the topic “Artisan Tea: Functional Beverage for Wellness.” This event was a continuation of the Buper Talk #11 webinar and was attended in person by the faculty’s staff.
The event, held with great enthusiasm, provided participants with in-depth knowledge about the benefits of artisan tea as a functional drink for health. Ir. Iriana Ekasari Muadz, M.M., founder of the Indonesian Artisan Tea

Association (ARTI), shared insights into the tea production process, various types of tea, and their positive impact on consumers’ health and well-being.
“With the success of Buper Practice, we hope it serves as a learning platform for the faculty’s staff. It is our hope that the series of Buper Talk #11 and Buper Practice activities will inspire participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle by utilizing local products such as artisan tea,” said Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.P., Ph.D., Head of the Department of Agronomy.
This event not only enriched the staff’s knowledge but also encouraged them to apply wellness concepts through the consumption of high-quality tea. The event also emphasized the future development of artisan tea innovations, aligning with the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for communities.

By hosting the Buper Practice event, the Department of Agronomy demonstrated its dedication to education and human resource empowerment in the agricultural sector, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
