The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) and the UPT BPSDMP DIY have initiated a collaborative effort focusing on digital literacy training and research for agricultural extension agents and millennial farmers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The partnership was officially marked during a meeting held on Friday, 10 January 2025, led by Dr. Alia Bihrajihant Raya from Faperta UGM and Anita Windrati, S.P., M.MA, Head of UPT BPSDMP DIY.
Scheduled for implementation throughout 2025–2026, this collaboration aims to enhance digital literacy among agricultural stakeholders. Both institutions have committed to delivering training programs designed to build the digital capacity of extension workers and young farmers, helping them leverage technology to boost agricultural productivity. Dr. Raya highlighted the importance of digital skills in supporting agricultural development and food security in the region.
