The Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has officially received excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This accreditation is valid from 12 November 2024 to 23 June 2025, ensuring high-quality education for the public, prospective students, and industry.
This accreditation was granted after a stringent evaluation process by BAN-PT to ensure that the Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science at UGM has met national higher education standards. With this excellent accreditation, the program demonstrates its commitment to providing relevant and high-quality education that aligns with global needs.
This was also confirmed by the Head of the Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science, Dr. Suputa, S.P., M.P.
“This excellent accreditation achievement is a tangible reflection of our commitment to delivering quality education, innovative research, and impactful community service. Strengthening the conducive academic ecosystem is also a key factor in maintaining this achievement to ensure that the Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science remains excellent and competitive. We hope that the Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science will continue to thrive and make significant contributions to Indonesian society and the global scientific community in the future,” explained Suputa.
Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, stated that this achievement is the result of the hard work of all academic staff.
“This excellent accreditation demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving the quality of education and contributing to the development of agricultural science,” she said.
Dr. Hani Perwitasari, S.P., M.Sc., Head of the Quality Assurance Team at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, added that this accreditation proves that the program has met the quality standards set by BAN-PT.
“This is important to ensure that our graduates have high competence and can contribute to the advancement of science,” she said.
The success of the Master’s Program in Plant Pest Science at UGM in receiving excellent accreditation significantly impacts the program’s reputation and educational quality. This achievement confirms that the curriculum is aligned with the latest developments in the field, opening up wide opportunities for students and graduates to build careers in the industry or research institutions, as well as increasing public trust in the quality of education provided.
