On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Faperta UGM received an official visit from the delegation of Ibaraki University, Japan, represented by Prof. Makoto Tamura, Ph.D. and Masaki SEO, Ph.D. This strategic meeting discussed the potential integration of academic expertise from both institutions into a widely accessible digital learning platform to respond to the increasingly urgent climate challenges for the agricultural sector at a global level. read more

A student team from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully won the Silver Medal (2nd Place) the International Essay Competition, part of the 2nd International Student Summit 2026 (2nd ISS 2026), held in Malaysia on February 14–15, 2026.

This achievement highlights the academic capacity of UGM students in producing innovative ideas relevant to global issues. The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), and PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi (INASTEK) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) regarding research, development, and promotion of downstreaming innovative products in the field of agrotechnology on Monday, February 2, 2026, in Yogyakarta. In the agreement, Faperta UGM was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., while PT INASTEK was represented by the President Director, Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga. This collaboration focuses on two main scopes: research and development in the field of agrotechnology and the promotion of downstreaming innovative products generated through the parties’ collaboration. read more
