UGM Public Relations and Faculty of Agriculture Produce Promotional Content for Agricultural Microbiology Study Program

The Public Relations Team of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UGM, carried out the production of promotional video content for several study programs, including the Agricultural Microbiology Program. The activity took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with the aim of introducing academic excellence, facilities, and career prospects of graduates to the wider community in a creative and inspiring format.

During the filming process, the Head of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Muhammad Saifur Rohman, S.P., M.Si., M.Eng, Ph.D., the Head of the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program, Dr. Desi Utami, S.P., M.Env.Sc., several students, and the Faculty of Agriculture Media Team were present. This collaboration showcased the learning atmosphere, laboratory practices, and student-lecturer interactions, while highlighting the application of microbiology in sustainable agriculture, the food industry, and environmental management. read more

Together for Well-being: Pondasi UTS Strengthens Student Readiness and SDGs

The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) once again presents the Pondasi UTS program, which provides free breakfast for students during the Midterm Examination (UTS) period of the 2025/2026 academic year. The program runs from April 6 to 17, 2026, at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Canteen, offering 200 portions every morning. This initiative aims to support students so they remain focused and energized while facing exams.

In addition to providing nutritious meals, the program also uses environmentally friendly containers as part of the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the area of responsible consumption and production. This effort shows that caring for students goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. read more

Halal Bi Halal at UGM Faculty of Agriculture: Strengthening Fellowship and Synergy

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, convened the Halal Bi Halal of the Faculty’s Big Family on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Prof. Ir. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. This annual gathering served as a meaningful occasion to reinforce fellowship among faculty members, staff, students, and alumni, while simultaneously reaffirming collective commitment to addressing the challenges of agriculture in the modern era.


Halal Bi Halal, deeply rooted in Indonesian cultural and religious tradition, is not only a celebration of forgiveness and reconciliation but also a platform to strengthen academic solidarity. The presence of the entire Faculty community underscored the importance of unity as a foundation for collaboration in research, education, and community service.
In his address, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., emphasized the significance of opening hearts in forgiveness and using the Halal Bi Halal as a momentum to reinforce togetherness. He highlighted the necessity of synergy across departments in responding to strategic issues such as food security, digitalization, and agricultural modernization. read more
