The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) held the soft launching of “Kopi & Roti Dua Kerbau” Café on 16 October 2024. This new facility is the result of a collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture UGM and Kopi & Roti Dua Kerbau. The event was attended by lecturers, staff, and students, introducing the café as a new relaxation spot on campus.
Kopi & Roti Dua Kerbau Café aims to provide a relaxing space for the academic community amidst their busy campus life while offering a place to unwind, interact, and be creative. Equipped with a volleyball play area and Kolintang musical instruments, the café not only adds to the fun but also supports creativity, collaboration, and extracurricular interests, helping students and faculty maintain a healthy balance between academics and leisure.
Kolintang, a traditional Indonesian percussion instrument, is one of the café’s main attractions, offering students a unique experience to try out this cultural heritage. The Kolintang Music House, inaugurated by Rahmat Shah, a scholarship donor at the Faculty of Agriculture, 31 on July 2024, aims to enrich the cultural atmosphere at the faculty. With the presence of Kolintang, the café becomes not only a relaxing space but also a social hub that blends entertainment and culture into campus life.
Through this facility, the Faculty of Agriculture at UGM remains committed to creating an inclusive and comfortable campus environment that supports the personal growth and well-being of all faculty members. This initiative also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
