The Faculty of Agriculture at Gadjah Mada University (Faperta UGM) underwent an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for its Study Program Management Units (UPPS) on 2-3 October 2024. The aim of the AMI visit was to assess and enhance the quality of education and services provided by each program within the Faculty of Agriculture.
During the AMI visit, a team of assessors, consisting of experts in higher education, evaluated several aspects of program management, including curriculum, research, community service, and management. The audit covered nine undergraduate programs, eight master’s programs, and one doctoral program managed by the Faculty of Agriculture.
Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of the AMI visit for involving all elements of the Faculty to maintain the quality of education provided.
“We hope that the AMI visit can be an effort and evaluation for all of us to maintain the quality of education we run, as well as make a positive contribution to society,” Weny said.
The AMI visit involved faculty members, educational staff, and students in separate discussion sessions. Five departments, or UPPS, at the Faculty of Agriculture participated in the AMI visit: the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, the Department of Agricultural Economics and Social Sciences, the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, the Department of Fisheries, and the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, which includes 16 study programs. Each study program was audited by two assessors from Gadjah Mada University. Afterward, the assessors presented the results of the AMI audit to the department heads and program managers, outlining steps for future improvements. The Department of Soil will undergo its AMI visit on 22 October 2024.
The AMI audit is part of the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment, supported by all elements of the academic community within each program, to achieve the goals outlined in the SDGs, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
