The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held an Expanded Faculty Work Meeting (Rapat Kerja Fakultas – RKF) at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The meeting served as a strategic forum to communicate academic policy directions, evaluate learning processes, and formulate plans to strengthen research and institutional cooperation throughout 2026.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of more systematic and adaptive academic staff management. He also urged the entire academic community to enhance their spirit of learning and adaptation, especially in facing the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which is increasingly relevant in the world of education.

Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., delivered a learning evaluation, highlighting the use of QR codes in the lecture attendance system, particularly for young lecturers. She also targeted an increase in the number of postgraduate students to 35-45% of the total undergraduate students, in line with the faculty’s vision of strengthening academic capacity.
Furthermore, it was announced that the new academic system, lecture calendar, and student management have been prepared. Even semester lectures are scheduled to begin on February 9, 2026, with flexibility for asynchronous lectures given the high number of holidays. Students are also encouraged to utilize consultation services with academic advisors. On this occasion, the faculty also introduced the Harjono Danoesastro Scholarship as a form of support for high-achieving students.
In the following session, Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P., underscored the importance of implementing the lecturer code of ethics and fulfilling the requirements for academic rank promotion. She also introduced new teaching staff, presented the Health Promoting University (HPU) evaluation results, and explained the external correspondence flow. Additionally, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM currently subscribes to several applications to support learning integrated with UGM’s service system.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, Prof. Subejo S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., highlighted preparations for launching research grants, collaboration programs, and the fast-track path for high-achieving students. Research support for young lecturers and community service grants are also faculty priorities.
