A team from the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) conducted a community service program in Kembang Hamlet, Wonokerto Village, Turi Subdistrict, Sleman Regency. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills of local youth in cultivating ornamental fish and plants, building upon Kembang Hamlet’s significant potential in the fisheries and agricultural sectors.

“Through skill development in ornamental fish and plant cultivation, we hope to boost productivity and create employment opportunities for the younger generation in Kembang Hamlet, while also supporting local economic development,” stated Dr. Eko Setyobudi, S.Pi., M.Si., the head of the community service team.

The activity was carried out by a group of Faperta UGM lecturers, including Dr. Eko Setyobudi, S.Pi., M.Si., Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.P., Ph.D., Indah Istiqomah, S.Pi., M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Senny Helmiati, S.Pi., M.Sc., and Rizky Pasthika Kirana, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. In addition, several students participated in the program, including Qothrunnadaa Salsabiila, Seruni Salsabila Putri Basoeki, Hanifah Indah Ayu Lestari, Sinta Sekar Larasarti, Faiz Mahasin, Nanang Kurnia Putra, Hanafi Wikan Anindita, Hafinda Niantama, and Atika Hanun Rahardianti.

The initiative received strong support from both the local community and the government.
