On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FisTx Indonesia. This milestone marks a significant step in reinforcing the implementation of the tridharma perguruan tinggi, particularly through impactful internship programs and collaborative research and development on Nile tilapia and black tiger shrimp seed.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Subejo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration; Prof. Dr. Ir. Alim Isnansetyo, M.Sc., Head of the Department of Fisheries; and Dr.rer.nat. Riza Yuliratno Setiawan, S.Kel., M.Sc., Secretary of the Department of Fisheries. Their presence underscored UGM’s commitment to expanding collaboration with industry partners, enabling students and faculty members to gain direct experience in advancing sustainable fisheries innovation. read more

Enaya Zahira Yudana and Aini Hilmi Zuhdiyya, undergraduate students of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), class of 2023, gained valuable experience during their internship at the Public Accounting Firm IAD (Irfan, Abdurrahman Hasan Salipu, and Darmawan). On Wednesday, March 5, 2026, they had the opportunity to join a client visit in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, accompanied by two senior auditors.

During the activity, they were directly involved in the process of cash opname, namely the counting of cash (banknotes, coins, and checks/giro) by the company’s finance division. The results of the count were then reconciled with the bookkeeping records, and any discrepancies were recorded as cash differences (over/short) for further investigation. In the Biotechnology Seminar series at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), the second session featured Dr. Chiho Suzuki-Minakuchi from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. Her presentation, titled “Survival Strategies of Xenobiotic-Degrading Bacteria: Heterogeneity in Plasmid-Borne Catabolic Ability,” examined how environmental bacteria adapt to xenobiotic stress through complex genetic and regulatory mechanisms. read more
