
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, convened the Halal Bi Halal of the Faculty’s Big Family on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Prof. Ir. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. This annual gathering served as a meaningful occasion to reinforce fellowship among faculty members, staff, students, and alumni, while simultaneously reaffirming collective commitment to addressing the challenges of agriculture in the modern era.

Halal Bi Halal, deeply rooted in Indonesian cultural and religious tradition, is not only a celebration of forgiveness and reconciliation but also a platform to strengthen academic solidarity. The presence of the entire Faculty community underscored the importance of unity as a foundation for collaboration in research, education, and community service.
In his address, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., emphasized the significance of opening hearts in forgiveness and using the Halal Bi Halal as a momentum to reinforce togetherness. He highlighted the necessity of synergy across departments in responding to strategic issues such as food security, digitalization, and agricultural modernization.
