Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) once again held a public lecture by Ardian Rahman Afandi, S.Psi, M.Psi, a Lecturer from Faculty of Psychology UGM. This leadership lecture focuses on Leadership Material and Industrial Organizational Psychology (PIO) and also the perspective of psychology in leadership. This course aims to equip students with an in-depth understanding of human behaviour in the work environment that emphasizes the importance of psychological principles in shaping effective leadership and optimizing organizational performance.
The material covers various themes, ranging from industrial organizational psychology (PIO) to consumer behaviour analysis, explaining that user experience is a key factor in consumer preferences when shopping online. There are surveys that show correlations/insights that the shoppe user experience is easier and more indulgent for women than men.
This lecture also highlighted the issue of health and mental health in the workplace. It was explained that individuals with physical/mental disorders can still work well if they get the right support. For example, UGM provides psychological services that can be utilized by the UGM academic community in need. With material covering the employee life cycle, HR planning, and Gen Z generation adaptation, this guest lecture is expected to prepare students to face the dynamics of the growing world of work. This activity shows the Faculty of Agriculture’s efforts to realize the SDGs including SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: No Hunger, SDG 4: Quality Education, and 17. Partnership to achieve goals.
