Celebrating Cross-Cultural Bonds: Farewell to Japanese Language Teaching Students at Faculty of Agriculture

On 11 September 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a farewell event for Rina Shirahata and Haruka Ishiguro, students from Yamagata University, who had taught the Japanese language class “Nihongo no Nakama” for a week. The event took place at the AGLC Building of the Faculty of Agriculture and was attended by students from various faculties at UGM who had participated in the class. Rina Shirahata is a student from the Art Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, while Haruka Ishiguro is from the Mass Media Communication Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yamagata University, Japan. read more

Faculty of Agriculture UGM Conducts Internal Quality Audit Visitation

Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has undergone an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) on 2-3 October 2024. This AMI visitation aims to assess and improve the quality of education, as well as the services provided by each study program within the Faculty of Agriculture UGM.

In the series of AMI visitations, a team of assessors consisting of experts in the field of higher education evaluated several aspects of study program management, such as curriculum, research, community service, and management. The study programs conducted by AMI include nine undergraduate study programs, eight master’s study programs, and one doctoral study program managed by the Faculty of Agriculture UGM. read more

Agricultural Field Seminar 2024: Collaboration Between Shizuoka University (Japan), New South Wales Department of Primary Industries (Australian) and Faculty of Agriculture UGM

Agriculture Field Seminar is a routine activity carried out by Shizuoka University, Japan in collaboration with Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada in the framework of a summer course held at UGM. This year, this summer course was attended by 17 Japanese students and 2 lecturers from Shizuoka University. As part of this event, on Monday, 2 September 2024, Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) hosted the 2024 Agriculture Field Seminar held jointly with Shizuoka University, Japan and New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, Australia. The seminar was presented by four keynote speakers who discussed the latest topics in agriculture. read more
