More than 70 students from various faculties at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) attended the Japanese Class “Nihongo No Nakama” held at Rachmiwaty Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM, from 27 February to 11 March, 2025. This activity also presents 16 students from Yamagata University, Japan from various faculties and batches as teachers in the Japanese class. In addition to in-class activities, the Japanese students can also experience learning outside the classroom, namely a visit to Borobudur Temple to know the history of one of the historical places in Indonesia.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), hosted the Annual Research Meeting on Climate Resilient Crops Induced by Ultraviolet-B, held on Wednesday, 8 Januray 2024 at the Venture Room, 6th Floor of the Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC) Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. This event is a follow-up to the research project titled “Study on the Expression of Several Shallot Resistance Genes Induced by UV-B Light Against Biotic Stress of Moler Disease.“ The research project is part of the Strategic Research Collaboration Implementation Contract (KATALIS) for the 2024 Fiscal Year, in collaboration with Universitas Padjadjaran, IPB University, and Universitas Andalas.
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) continues demonstrating its commitment to empowering local farmers. This time, their commitment is realized through collaboration with Indomaret, the Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries Office of Sleman Regency, and the Millennial Farmers of Sleman to launch the Regional Economic Empowerment Program through California Papaya Cultivation. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) took place on Tuesday, 7 January 2024, at the Venture Room, AGLC (Agritropical Learning Cente Building, 6th Floor, Faculty of Agriculture UGM.
