Faculty of Agriculture UGM Holds Gene Expression Workshop: Mastering Real-Time PCR

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), successfully organized the Gene Expression Workshop Mastering Real-Time PCR: Understanding Transcriptomic Dynamics Under Climate Change at Venture Room, 6th floor, Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC) on Thursday, April 9, 2026. This workshop served as an intensive learning platform for academics and practitioners to deepen their understanding of transcriptomic dynamics in addressing the challenges of climate change.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Mgs. Muhammad Prima Putra, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Manager of AGLC, and Widhi Dyah Sawitri, S.Si., M.Agr., Ph.D., Deputy Manager of AGLC. They highlighted the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in molecular research and introduced the advanced facilities available at AGLC. read more

Faculty of Agriculture UGM Holds ASIIN Reaccreditation Coordination Meeting for HPT, PKP, and THP Study Programs

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), held an ASIIN Reaccreditation Coordination Meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, Building A1, 2nd floor. The main agenda was the transfer of materials from previous department and study program administrators to the newly appointed ones.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture, including Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and Dr. R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources. Representatives from the Undergraduate Programs in Plant Protection (HPT), Agricultural Extension and Communication (PKP), Fishery Product Technology (THP), the Quality Assurance Unit, and the Head of the Media and Information Systems Unit were also present. read more

UGM Public Relations and Faculty of Agriculture Produce Promotional Content for Agricultural Microbiology Study Program

The Public Relations Team of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UGM, carried out the production of promotional video content for several study programs, including the Agricultural Microbiology Program. The activity took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with the aim of introducing academic excellence, facilities, and career prospects of graduates to the wider community in a creative and inspiring format.

During the filming process, the Head of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Muhammad Saifur Rohman, S.P., M.Si., M.Eng, Ph.D., the Head of the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program, Dr. Desi Utami, S.P., M.Env.Sc., several students, and the Faculty of Agriculture Media Team were present. This collaboration showcased the learning atmosphere, laboratory practices, and student-lecturer interactions, while highlighting the application of microbiology in sustainable agriculture, the food industry, and environmental management. read more
