Final presentation as the final agenda of AIMS students was held on Friday, 1 December 2023, at Seminar Room 1, Building Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC), Faculty of Agriculture UGM. On this Final Presentation Day, AIMS students presented a 10 minutes presentation of their experiences during studying at Faculty of Agriculture UGM for about one semester in Academic Year 2023/2024.
AIMS students who attended the final presentation day were Hibiki Sawada (Japan), Kizashi Koga (Japan), Anzu Nakai (Japan), Honomi Okada (Japan), Kei Yanagihara (Japan), Fae Coleen Lagura (Philippines), and To Thi Kim Oanh (Vietnam), while Dang Thu Trang (Vietnam) could not attend due to illness. All of the AIMS students were very enthusiastic in sharing their experiences, both in academic and social activities.
“I am very impressed with the students here because they can balance their academic and social life. Unlike me, in Philippines, lectures start at 7am and end at 8 pm. So, I already got tired after that and don’t have time to socialize with my friends,” said Fae, one of the AIMS students.
Besides that, Kizashi Koga also added his story about how many friends he got from Faculty of Agriculture UGM. “I got a lot of friends here, more than I have in Japan because the education system and social life there is very different,” Kizashi added.
The agenda of final presentation day also became a farewell for AIMS students. The Faculty gave a special gift to each student and provide “tumpengan” session. In the short moment, Vice Dean for Research, Community Services, and Cooperation, Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Subejo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., who also attended the final presentation day, delivered his brief thank you speech for the AIMS students.
“Thank you for your participation in AIMS program in this Faculty. I hope that you gained so much interesting new things and unforgettable experiences,” said Prof. Subejo.
