
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), held a handover ceremony at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. This event serves as a significant momentum for leadership regeneration and the strengthening of academic governance within the faculty.

The handover included positions for Heads of Departments, Secretaries of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and Heads of Units across various fields. Some of the newly appointed officials serving as Heads of Departments include:
- Eka Tarwaca Susila Putra, S.P., M.P. as Head of the Department of Agronomy, succeeding Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D.
- Dr. Ir. Siwi Indarti, M.P. as Head of the Department of Plant Protection, succeeding Prof. Dr. Tri Joko, S.P., M.Sc.
- Muhammad Saifur Rohman, S.P., M.Si., M.Eng, Ph.D. as Head of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, succeeding Prof. Ir. Donny Widianto, Ph.D.
- Dr. Ir. Alim Isnansetyo, M.Sc. continuing his leadership as Head of the Department of Fisheries.
- Dr. Ir. Irham, M.Sc. as Head of the Department of Social Agricultural Economics, succeeding Prof. Dr. Jangkung Handoyo Mulyo, S.P., M.Ec.
- Agr. Makruf Nurudin, S.P., M.P. as Head of the Department of Soil Science, succeeding Prof. Dr. Ir. Benito Heru Purwanto, M.P., M.Agr.

Sedyo Hartono, Ph.D. (Undergraduate Plant Protection), Nur Ainun Harlin Jennie Pulungan, Ph.D. (Undergraduate Soil Science), and Indun Dewi Puspita, Ph.D. (Undergraduate Fisheries Product Technology).
- For Master’s Programs: Dr. Ir. Endang Sulistyaningsih (Agronomy), Prof. Ir. Achmadi Priyatmojo, Ph.D. (Phytopathology), Dr. Ir. Arman Wijonarko (Plant Pest Science), Arini Wahyu Utami, Ph.D. (Agricultural Economics), Prof. Dr. Eko Setyobudi (Fisheries Science), Dr. Ir. - For Doctoral Programs: Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie (Agricultural Science) and Prof. Dr. Ir. Murwantoko (Tropical Fisheries and Marine Science).

Additionally, several officials were appointed as unit heads, including Mgs. Muhammad Prima Putra, Ph.D. (Manager of AGLC/Head of Unit and Community Service), Widhi Dyah Sawitri, Ph.D. (Head of Planning and Development Unit), Dr. Firdausi Nur Azizah (Head of Quality Assurance Unit), Tantriani, Ph.D. (Head of Media and Information Systems Unit), Dr. Najmu Tsaqib Akhda (Head of National and International Cooperation Unit), Prof. Dr. Ir. Aziz Purwantoro (Head of Experimental Farm Unit), Dr. Ady Bayu Prakoso (Student Affairs and PKM Centre Coordinator), Dr. Desy Putri Handayani (HPU Coordinator), and Agung Dian Kharisma, Ph.D. (AIMS and Student Mobility Coordinator).
With a spirit of togetherness, the new leaders are committed to continuing work programs and delivering innovations relevant to community needs while supporting faculty targets at both national and international levels.
This leadership transition is not only part of organizational dynamics but also a strategic step by Faperta UGM in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG4: Quality education, SDG8: Decent work and economic growth, and SDG17: Partnerships for the goals.
