Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Xiamen University have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing knowledge, research, and global cooperation. The two universities established the foundation of their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2019, which was later renewed in 2025. This commitment is now being followed up through the formation of a more specific and applicable cooperation framework at the faculty and institutional levels.

This collaboration is realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UGM and the Research School for Southeast Asian Studies (RSEAS) at Xiamen University.
