Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has reaffirmed its commitment to producing high-quality human resources. This initiative is bolstered by alumni of the faculty, organized under the Keluarga Alumni Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAGAMA) Pertanian, who have awarded scholarships to five students. The scholarships were presented during an alumni gathering on Sunday, 22 September 2024, by KAGAMA Pertanian’s Chairperson, Ir. YN Hari Hardono, along with the Dean of the Faculty, Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., and all Vice Deans of the Faculty.
Agriculture Field Seminar is a routine activity carried out by Shizuoka University, Japan in collaboration with Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada in the framework of a summer course held at UGM. This year, this summer course was attended by 17 Japanese students and 2 lecturers from Shizuoka University. As part of this event, on Monday, 2 September 2024, Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) hosted the 2024 Agriculture Field Seminar held jointly with Shizuoka University, Japan and New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, Australia. The seminar was presented by four keynote speakers who discussed the latest topics in agriculture.
Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has converted the roof terrace of Building A1 into a mini grape park and co-working space for its academic community. This initiative is part of the faculty’s urban farming implementation, aligning with its Smart Eco-Bioproduction slogan, which reflects the faculty’s commitment to provide an innovative, efficient, and eco-friendly agricultural practices. The Grape Park, which has been in development for about three years, currently features 12 different types of grapes.
