UGM Agrocomplex Collaboration: Faculty of Agriculture Affirms Commitment to Educational Quality

Five faculties within the agrocomplex cluster of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a workshop on the socialization of policies, mechanisms, and accreditation instruments of the Independent Accreditation Agency for Agricultural Higher Education (LAM PTIP) as part of efforts to strengthen institutional readiness for the accreditation process. The event was held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (WIB) at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Forestry UGM, and was attended by approximately 75 participants, primarily comprising faculty leadership. read more

A Step Forward for Faperta UGM: Expanding Global Cooperation with Ibaraki University

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), continues to strengthen its steps on the international stage. On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Faperta UGM received a strategic visit from Prof. Hasegawa Takeshi from Ibaraki University, Japan. This meeting became an important momentum to strengthen synergy in the fields of research and education between Indonesia and Japan, specifically in the development of sustainable agriculture.

During the discussion held at Faperta UGM, Prof. Hasegawa expressed his enthusiasm for the potential of cross-country research collaboration. The main focus discussed included the development of appropriate agricultural technology and climate change adaptation, which are crucial issues for both countries. read more

IUC Students of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM Participate in Exposure Program at Xiamen University The Faculty of Agriculture,

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), represented by Dr.nat.sc. Faizal Rachman, S.Pi., M.Sc., along with six students from the International Undergraduate Class (IUC), conducted an academic visit to the Fujian Institute of Marine Sustainable Development, Xiamen University. The visit was warmly welcomed by the Director of the Fujian Institute, Prof. Xue Xiongzhi, and served as an important momentum in strengthening international cooperation.

In his remarks, Prof. Xue emphasized that this visit was not merely an academic exchange, but also part of the “International Cooperation Network for Coastal Sustainable Development” framework initiated by the Fujian Institute. The Faculty of Agriculture UGM itself is one of the founding members of this network; thus, the presence of UGM lecturers and students strengthens Indonesia’s position in global collaboration. read more
