On Tuesday, 1 October 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM welcomed a visit from students and teachers of As-Shofa Islamic High School, Pekanbaru, at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. The group was warmly received by Agus Sudarwinto, S.E., M.M., Head of the Administrative Office of Faperta UGM, along with several lecturers from the Faculty’s Public Relations Team. During the visit, the lecturers shared motivational insights, encouraging the students to pursue higher education at Faperta UGM.

One of the speakers, Dr. Sulistiowati, S.Si., M.Si., from the Department of Fisheries, introduced the students to UGM’s campus life and its various faculties, with a special focus on the Faculty of Agriculture. Alongside her, Dr. Adyatma Irawan Santosa, S.P., M.Sc., from the Department of Plant Protection, also presented, engaging both students and teachers in an active Q&A session.

“Today, we provided a general introduction to UGM and a more detailed overview of the Faculty of Agriculture. We’re delighted to see the enthusiasm, not only from the students but also from their teachers, who were eager to learn about strategies for achieving career success,” Sulis shared.

The students showed great interest in learning more about Faperta UGM, particularly regarding tuition fees and scholarship opportunities. Sulis took the time to explain the various scholarships available to prospective UGM students, addressing their questions about the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) system.

This visit and motivational session exemplify Faperta UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
