Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) once again held a public lecture by Ardian Rahman Afandi, S.Psi, M.Psi, a Lecturer from Faculty of Psychology UGM. This leadership lecture focuses on Leadership Material and Industrial Organizational Psychology (PIO) and also the perspective of psychology in leadership. This course aims to equip students with an in-depth understanding of human behaviour in the work environment that emphasizes the importance of psychological principles in shaping effective leadership and optimizing organizational performance.
SDG 2: Zero Hunger
Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) on 26 February, 2025 released 64 graduates from Bachelor of Agriculture program, 7 of whom were fast track program students.
M. Fathoni Akmal, or familiarly called Akmal, was named the best graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture with a very satisfying Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.93 out of 4.00. Akmal successfully completed his studies in 4 years 2 months 4 days. Another achievement was achieved by Tiara Nabila who became the fastest graduate. Tiara completed her studies in 3 years 4 months and 28 days. Not only that, Tiara was also recorded as the youngest graduate at the age of 21 years, 2 months, 30 days and graduated with a GPA of 3.86.
The Bincang Desa Webinar Series is an initiative by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) in collaboration with the Desa Apps team of Faperta UGM as part of their community service efforts. This program focuses on interactive discussions between farmers, the general public, and experts in agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, and forestry. Each Bincang Desa session is designed to address community needs, as seen in the latest session, Bincang Desa #50.
Eid al-Adha is one of the most significant Islamic holidays, during which Muslims perform the ritual sacrifice (Qurbani) of livestock. To address the importance of proper Qurbani animal handling, the special 50th edition of Bincang Desa featured a discussion on the correct slaughtering methods according to Islamic law. The session hosted two distinguished speakers: Dr. Ir. Edi Suryanto, M.Sc., IPU., ASEAN Eng. (Faculty of Animal Science, UGM) and drh. Imam Abror (Founder of Lab Kampung Ternak Jogja).
