Dean of Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D. and Founder & CEO of PT Inamas Synthesis Technology (INASTEK), Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga, S.T., M.Eng,  had inaugurated a new innovation in the agricultural sector called Intelligent Contained Climate Controlled Farming (I-C3F) on 31 July 2024.

This inauguration was also attended by Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P., as Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources. Also present were Rahmat Shah, sponsor of Faculty of Agriculture UGM, and Raline Shah, Save Soil Ambassador, who witnessed this important moment firsthand.

In a strategic collaboration, Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) had a discussion to team up with the PT Sumitomo Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) to advance the integration of information technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture. This partnership was discussed during an audience held on Thursday, 29 August 2024, in the Venture Room, AGLC Building, with the representatives from Sumitomo, NTT, along with the dean, vice-dean, head of departments, and head of units in Faculty of Agriculture UGM.

Faculty of Agriculture UGM collaborate with Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) in conducting an in-depth research project on the control of fruit flies in mangoes through area-wide management (AWM) system approach. The project, which has been conducted since 2017, was completed by an International Training Workshop on Tuesday-Thursday, 28-30 May  2024 at AGLC Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. The event was attended by participants from 12 different countries involved in the project.
