Synergy between UGM Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Forestry in Drafting the ASIIN SAR

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, organized the Drafting of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) based on the internal review of Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) Reaccreditation Batch 1 on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at the Venture Room, AGLC Building, 6th floor. The activity involved faculty leadership, the Quality Assurance Unit, and representatives from relevant study programs.

The event commenced with remarks by Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, who expressed appreciation to the quality assurance team and task forces from both the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Forestry for their collaborative efforts. In her address, she emphasized the importance of cross-unit coordination to ensure the smooth progress of the reaccreditation process, noting that three study programs from the Faculty of Agriculture will soon undergo visitation by the Indonesian Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Agriculture (LAM-PTIP). read more

Athifah Rahmadhani Wins First Place, A New Face of Achievement for Faperta UGM at Sunan Kalijaga Cup XIII 2026

A student of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), Athifah Rahmadhani, achieved a brilliant milestone by winning a gold medal at the Open Karate Championship Sunan Kalijaga Cup XIII 2026. This victory is not only a personal pride but also contributes significantly to Faperta UGM and the dominance of the UGM Inkai Karate Student Activity Unit (UKM), which secured 8 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal out of 960 national participants.

The championship, held on May 1–2, 2026, at the Prof. Amin Abdullah Building, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, featured 74 contingents from various regions across Indonesia. The UGM Inkai Karate team performed superiorly, proving their consistency as a major force in the national karate arena. read more

Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Students Gain Practical Insights Through Internship at KAP IAD

Enaya Zahira Yudana and Aini Hilmi Zuhdiyya, undergraduate students of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), class of 2023, gained valuable experience during their internship at the Public Accounting Firm IAD (Irfan, Abdurrahman Hasan Salipu, and Darmawan). On Wednesday, March 5, 2026, they had the opportunity to join a client visit in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, accompanied by two senior auditors.

During the activity, they were directly involved in the process of cash opname, namely the counting of cash (banknotes, coins, and checks/giro) by the company’s finance division. The results of the count were then reconciled with the bookkeeping records, and any discrepancies were recorded as cash differences (over/short) for further investigation. In addition, supporting transaction documents were scanned as supplementary evidence. read more
