On Thursday, 22 August 2024, the Library of the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), organized a workshop on Grammarly, Turnitin, and Ithenticate to enhance participants’ skills in supporting research and academic integrity.

This was emphasized by Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, who also served as a keynote speaker at the event. “One of the key strategies to maintain academic integrity and avoid plagiarism is by utilizing these applications. These tools are beneficial not only for lecturers and staff but also for students, especially graduate students who require publications as part of their graduation requirements,” explained Dr. Weny.

Held at the MMA Auditorium, Sosek Building (A 10), 3rd floor, the workshop featured three experienced speakers, each covering a different topic. M. Akhdy Prihantono, B.S.C.S., discussed access to and utilization of Ithenticate, while Endah Choiriyah, S.I.P., M.Si., presented on the use of Grammarly. Additionally, Laili Hidayah, M.A., led a session on Turnitin, providing insights into effective detection and usage techniques. This event enriched the knowledge and skills of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM’s academic community, equipping them with digital tools to support their studies and research.

Through this initiative, the Faculty of Agriculture contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17 : Patnership for the goals.
