The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), welcomed a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Purwokerto, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen institutional relations, exchange best practices in faculty management, and explore opportunities for sustainable strategic partnerships between the two institutions.

During the visit, the UNSOED delegation was welcomed by the leadership of Faperta UGM at the Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC). The discussion focused on several main areas, including the management of international programs, the development of research and community service based on innovation downstreaming, and the management of academic supporting facilities.

This meeting is expected to be a starting point for more intensive collaboration in the future, particularly in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Through the sharing of experiences and ideas, both faculties can support each other in improving the quality of education and research to address challenges in the national agricultural sector.

This visit also demonstrates Faperta UGM’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals, through collaboration and synergy between higher education institutions.
