Faculty of Agriculture UGM Inaugurates 23 Postgraduate Graduates in Graduation Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has once again achieved academic excellence through the Postgraduate Graduation Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. A total of 23 graduates were inaugurated in a solemn ceremony, consisting of 10 men and 13 women from various postgraduate study programs.

In this graduation, the Faculty of Agriculture gave special appreciation to top graduates with outstanding academic achievements. The Best Doctoral Graduate was awarded to Hoerussalam from the Phytopathology Study Program with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98 and a study period of 3 years, 4 months, and 2 days. The title of Youngest Graduate was awarded to Muhammad Fajar Ridqi from the Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program at the age of 23 years, 2 months, and 22 days. Meanwhile, the Fastest Graduate was achieved by Muhammad Azzar Kashi with a study period of 1 year, 4 months, and 6 days.

The Best Master’s Graduates based on departments were achieved by Amira Mufida Zharfa (Department of Agronomy) with a GPA of 3.86; Hendra Tanugraha (Department of Plant Protection) with a GPA of 4.00; Nadya Rahadini (Department of Fisheries) with a GPA of 3.91; and Yunita Alfina Puspita Sari (Department of Social Agricultural Economics) with a GPA of 4.00.

Furthermore, three graduates achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00: Hendra Tanugraha (Phytopathology) with a study period of 1 year, 9 months, and 16 days, as well as Yunita Alfina Puspita Sari and Vito Aufa Ghani (Agribusiness Management) with a study period of 1 year, 10 months, and 17 days.

This graduation also noted the participation of a Fast Track Program student (integrated undergraduate and master’s studies), Muhammad Fajar Ridqi, from the Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program with a GPA of 3.96 and a study period of 1 year, 11 months, and 16 days. The Fast Track Program reflects the faculty’s commitment to supporting accelerated pathways in quality higher education.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., expressed his hope that the graduates would become successful alumni. Prof. Jaka Widada emphasized that an academic degree is not just an addition to one’s name but a responsibility to contribute significantly to the development of the agricultural sector, especially through the role of the younger generation.

Through these academic achievements, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM contributes to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
