Faculty of Agriculture UGM in collaboration with Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and New South Wales Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) held a training of trainers workshop on Wednesday-Thursday, February 21-22, 2024 at the Center for Agrotechnology Innovation (PIAT) UGM. The event was attended by citrus farmers, extension workers, and plant pest observers (POPT) from eight regencies, namely Bangli Regency, Sambas Regency, Rejang Lebong Regency, Malang Regency, Jember Regency, Banyuwangi Regency, Garut Regency, and Purworejo Regency.

One-health is a collaborative approach that aims to build sustainable health resilience from connection between humans, animals, and environment. Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) received a visit from Dr. Harro Maat, a Lecturer at Knowledge, Technology, and Innovation, WUR, Netherlands, on Monday (27/11) to Friday (1/12), discussing health issues with the One-health approach.
Discussions were carried out with the One-health UGM members from Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Also, there were discussions with the Experts from Faculty of Agriculture, resulting in an overview of health issues and their causes in society. Apart from that, information about One-health in Indonesia was also collected from scientists. This was conveyed by Dr. Dyah Woro Untari, S.P., M.P., Head of Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. In addition to the discussions with the Experts, information gathering was also carried out through Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with farmer communities, Pusat Kesehatan Hewan (Puskeswan) officers, and Family Assistance Team officers in villages assisted by Agricultural Extension and Communication study program in Jamblangan, Margomulyo, Seyegan, Sleman.
Final presentation as the final agenda of AIMS students was held on Friday, 1 December 2023, at Seminar Room 1, Building Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC), Faculty of Agriculture UGM. On this Final Presentation Day, AIMS students presented a 10 minutes presentation of their experiences during studying at Faculty of Agriculture UGM for about one semester in Academic Year 2023/2024.
AIMS students who attended the final presentation day were Hibiki Sawada (Japan), Kizashi Koga (Japan), Anzu Nakai (Japan), Honomi Okada (Japan), Kei Yanagihara (Japan), Fae Coleen Lagura (Philippines), and To Thi Kim Oanh (Vietnam), while Dang Thu Trang (Vietnam) could not attend due to illness. All of the AIMS students were very enthusiastic in sharing their experiences, both in academic and social activities.
