Lentera DESA of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), participated as a facilitator in the Agri Training Camp (ATC) activity organized by the Agricultural Training Center (BAPELTAN) of Central Java. This batch of the ATC activity was attended by high school (SMA/MA/SMK) students collaborating with Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) in Purworejo Regency.

During the event held on June 23, 2026, Lentera DESA dispatched two facilitators to assist and guide the participants throughout the sessions. The presence of the Faperta UGM team was focused on fostering an understanding of sustainable food self-sufficiency and the importance of sustainability in agricultural sector development through technological and educational approaches. read more

The Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University (Faperta UGM) received a visit from assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences (LAM-PTIP) for a field assessment of the Plant Protection Study Program on Thursday, June 11, 2026. This activity is an important part of efforts to improve academic quality as well as strengthen the culture of quality within the faculty.

The opening of the assessment took place solemnly with the presence of faculty leaders, including the Head of SPMRU Prof. Indra Wijaya Kusuma, M.B.A., Ph.D. and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D. Also accompanying the ranks of vice deans, namely Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si. as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. R.A. This activity is an important momentum in ensuring the academic quality and reputation of the study program, while strengthening the faculty’s commitment to national accreditation standards.
