The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) recently held its 14th National Seminar on Agricultural Research (Semnashas XIV) as part of the Faculty’s 78th anniversary celebrations. The seminar focused on the socio-economic aspects of agriculture, emphasizing the optimization of land use and adaptation to climate change as key components in achieving food sovereignty.
Participants from various backgrounds, including academics, students, and agricultural practitioners, gathered to discuss a wide range of pressing issues in the sector, such as gender in agriculture, the role of information technology, commodity pricing and production, and global climate change adaptation strategies.
