The Student Creativity Program in Entrepreneurship (PKM-K) team from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, with their project entitled “EcoPrime Feed: Innovative Utilization of Invasive Species as High-Quality, Economical, and Environmentally Friendly Fish Feed,” successfully won two bronze medals at the 37th National Student Science Week (PIMNAS). The team, led by Gerson Lewis (Aquaculture 2023), earned bronze medals in both the poster and presentation categories.

A debate team consisting of Teddy Prasetyo (Agronomy 2021), Garudhea Iwangga (Agronomy 2020), and Yunita (Agronomy 2022) achieved 2nd place in the Scientific Debate Competition organized by the Plant Pest and Disease Student Association (IMHPT), Faculty of Agriculture, UGM (Faperta UGM). The event, held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, took place in the KPTU Hall of the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Teddy Prasetyo, one of the team members, expressed his gratitude for the achievement. “Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful to win 2nd place and of course, I’m happy,” he said. Teddy and his team prepared intensively for a month, gathering references from both national and international articles and journals.
Bachelor of Agricultural Extension and Communication Program (PKP) at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM provides a platform for students to learn social sciences within the agricultural sector. As part of the Organizational Communication course, the PKP program held a guest lecture on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, inviting an expert in the field to discuss community empowerment practices based on environmental sustainability.
Muhammad Rum, Head of the External Partnership Division at PT Tuah Turangga Agung, shared his experiences working at PT Tuah Turangga Agung (Turangga Sources), a company focused on managing coal mining assets. As someone responsible for the company’s external partnerships, Rum emphasized the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) communication as a key part of structured organizational practices.
“In any organization, including companies, it’s crucial to focus on CSR communication. CSR communication aims to build reputation and trust among consumers and serves as a dialogue platform with the community and various stakeholders involved,” Rum explained to the 69 students attending the lecture.
