UGM Agricultural Microbiology Student Joins AIMS Program at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea

Sherly Aurora Cahyadewi, a 2022 student of Agricultural Microbiology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), was selected to participate in the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program at Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Korea. The one-semester program, held from August to December 2025, provided valuable experiences in both academic development and cross-cultural exchange.

During her time at GNU, Sherly took five courses, including International Cooperation in Agriculture, Comprehensive Crop Science Design, Farm Practice, English Reading and Writing using Media, and Global Business English. The learning system was relatively similar to that of the Faculty of Agriculture at UGM, combining presentations, group discussions, practical activities, and assignments. However, the International Cooperation in Agriculture course offered a unique experience through weekly field trips conducted over half a semester, allowing students to directly observe agricultural practices and management in the field. read more

UGM Agricultural Economics Student Joins AIMS Program at Ibaraki University

Hosana Adel Ivory, a 2022 student of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, was selected to participate in the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program at Ibaraki University, Japan. The four-month program, held from September 2025 to January 2026, provided valuable experiences in both academic development and cross-cultural exchange.

At Ibaraki University, Hosana enrolled in several courses, including Overview of Regional Sustainability Science, Environmental and Symbiotic Sciences, Environmental Conservation Agriculture, and Adaptation to Environmental Change and Disaster Risk. She also actively participated in fieldwork, laboratory activities, seminars, and guest lectures. read more

UGM Student Team Wins Silver Medal at the 2nd International Student Summit 2026

A student team from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully won the Silver Medal (2nd Place) the International Essay Competition, part of the 2nd International Student Summit 2026 (2nd ISS 2026), held in Malaysia on February 14–15, 2026.

This achievement highlights the academic capacity of UGM students in producing innovative ideas relevant to global issues. The team consisted of Mukhlis Ibrahim (Team Leader) from the Faculty of Agriculture, Tirta P. Winata (Member) from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and Mutia N. Makhfirah (Member) from the Graduate School. read more
