Warm and Festive: The Opening of Faperta UGM’s 80th Anniversary and XVI Lustrum Strengthens the Faculty Community

An atmosphere full of joy and warmth enveloped the grounds of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), on Friday, July 10, 2026. Lecturers, staff, and the entire Faperta UGM family gathered for the opening of the series for the 80th Anniversary and XVI Lustrum of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM. This historic momentum successfully transformed into a gathering stage rich in family values.

The morning’s series of events began with a collective morning exercise activity. This joint exercise moment not only refreshed the physical body but also immediately dissolved the boundaries of daily work formalities. Following the exercise, the atmosphere of togetherness grew stronger as all participants gathered to enjoy a meal together. The festivity of the event reached its peak upon entering the most anticipated session, which was the door prize distribution. read more

Celebrating the 80th Anniversary, Faperta UGM Holds Maiden Harvest of Premium Hybrid Melons from Lecturer Innovation

A significant milestone marked the opening of the integrated celebration of the 80th Anniversary and XVI Lustrum of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM). As a tangible demonstration of its commitment to delivering research-based innovations that benefit society, Faperta UGM held the first harvest of premium hybrid melons developed through the faculty’s internal research on Friday, July 10, 2026. The harvesting event took place at the Greenhouse Facility of the A1 Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. read more

UGM Faculty of Agriculture Students Win Third Place in the 2026 BIOLEAF National Essay Competition

Students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, have once again achieved academic achievements at the national level. The student team consisting of Diva Nur Annisa (Agronomy, class of 2024), Miechell Ayu Fitriani (Soil Science, class of 2024), and Christa Bethany Hersanti (Agronomy, class of 2024) won third place in the National Essay Competition BIOLEAF 2026. This competition was organized by the HMP Biology Education BIOSFER FKIP Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on April 25–May 31, 2026, with the theme “Revive the Future: Empowering Ideas, Inspiring Action”. read more
