Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) held a Syawalan gathering on 11 April 2025 at Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. The syawalan was attended by the entire extended family of Faperta UGM, ranging from teaching staff, administration staff, retired and student representatives.

The event began with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D. The Dean of Faculty of Agriculture UGM welcomed the invited guests and thanked all the committees who had worked hard, in organizing this event. This event also aims to make every family in Faculty of Agricultural Sciences UGM can forgive each other and create a productive and harmonious environment on campus. Khosyi Adam Surya Atmaja (Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, 2022), along with his teammates Aryawijaya Adiyatma (Agricultural Industrial Technology, 2022) and Amanda Inkuta Ramadhania (Management, 2022), have taken an innovative step in waste management through their startup idea, SAMPAI: Turning Waste into Value.

The team successfully joined the Innovation Challenge program organized by Innovation Academy UGM, focusing on collecting used cooking oil from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and distributing it to used oil processors. Their goal is to profit from the margin between collection and processing while contributing to environmental sustainability. read more

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has established a collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture to conduct a Survey Investigation Design (SID) in support of the Quick Wins 2025 Rice Field Expansion program. The signing of the cooperation contract took place on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, at Hotel Palangka Raya, Jekan Raya, Palangka Raya. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Nuryani Hidayah Utami, M.P., M.Sc., IPU, as the head of the Faculty of Agriculture  UGM team, and Ir. Sunarti, M.P., Head of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Agricultural Office for Food Crops, Horticulture, and Livestock. read more
