One of the keynote speakers at the 14th National Seminar on Agricultural Research (SEMNASHAS Faperta UGM), a research professor from the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Prof. Dr. Edvin Aldrian, B.Eng., M.Sc., proposed optimizing an accurate seasonal prediction system. On 27 September 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture UGM officially inaugurated the Joglo Tea, Coffee, and Cacao Learning Center in collaboration with BRI Peduli, coinciding with the 78th anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by John Sarjono, Regional CEO of BRI Yogyakarta, accompanied by Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM. This facility was established to support education, research, and community empowerment, especially in developing cocoa, tea, and coffee commodities. read more

Students from SMA IT Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) in the Campus Visit event on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. This event aims to introduce the Faculty of Agriculture, the admission process at UGM, as well as future career opportunities from each department at Faperta UGM.

“Our goal is to facilitate students who aspire to study at UGM, including the Faculty of Agriculture. We are here to learn more about the UGM campus and the fast-track program offered. We hope that through this visit, we can provide new insights for the students in choosing their future education,” said Zayyad Namiri M.Pd.I, Education Director of SMA IT Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the six departments at the UGM Faculty of Agriculture, namely the Department of Fisheries, Agricultural Socioeconomics, Agricultural Microbiology, Soil Science, Plant Pests and Diseases, and Agricultural Cultivation. They were also provided with an explanation of the research fields in each department, the prospects for graduates, scholarship opportunities, student exchange programs, as well as flagship programs such as the fast-track and International Undergraduate Class (IUC).
