Lentera DESA, an online education and training platform in the agrocomplex sector, which covers agriculture, fisheries, and livestock, has achieved a significant milestone by being selected for the Innovative Challenge program organized by the Innovative Academy at Universitas Gadjah Mada. This platform not only offers training but also provides a discussion space where users can exchange information and build relationships within the community.

The Innovative Challenge is a flagship program of UGM aimed at incubating and facilitating various innovations designed to address problems or create new solutions in various fields. The program provides a platform for creative ideas to develop into solutions that are ready to be implemented and sustainable. The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), held a Coordination Meeting for its Media Team on Thursday, 3 October 2024. The event aimed to evaluate and assess the progress of article publications from various media teams within each department and study program. Through this discussion forum, it was hoped that each department could share experiences and best practices in article publication, fostering a spirit of collaboration and improving the media teams’ performance. read more

As a student who came from Ibaraki University, Japan, Yuwa Takagi felt challenged to experience a variety of new things that he has never tried before. His willingness to explore and broaden academic horizons led to his decision in choosing Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Indonesia as his destination in Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) since August to December 2024.

Yuwa shared his favorite class named “Traditional Fermented Food of Indonesia”. This class became his favorite since it facilitated him to meet with regular students, so that he can make friends with a lot of students and learn about their culturals background. The lecturer of the class is Susanti Mugi Lestari, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., a lecturer of Department of Agricultural Microbiology.
