The Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering local farmers. This commitment was recently realized through a collaboration with Indomaret, the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries of Sleman Regency, and Millennial Farmers of Sleman to launch the Regional Economic Empowerment Program through California Papaya Cultivation. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) took place on Tuesday, 7 January 2025, at the Venture Room, 6th Floor of the AGLC Building, Faculty of Agriculture UGM.

Faculty of Agriculture UGM Promotes Smart Eco-bioproduction Vision to AgriFest 2024 Visitors at PIAT
The vision of the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), Smart Eco-bioproduction, is not only a guiding principle for its academic community but also shared with visitors to the Faculty’s booth during AgriFest 2024, held from 5-7 September 2024, at the Center for Agro-Technology Innovation (PIAT) UGM. Through the distribution of souvenirs, including reusable tumblers and coconut seedlings, the Faculty aims to raise public awareness about the importance of healthy living and food self-sufficiency.
Nadya Mangesti Wibowo (Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness 2022) was awarded Best Presenter at The 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Socioeconomics, Agribusiness, and Rural Development (ICSASARD) 2024, under the sub-theme Inclusive Rural Development. The award was presented on October 17, 2024, at The Alana Hotel Yogyakarta. Nadya’s presentation, titled “The ‘Dadi Wong’ Philosophy: A Glimpse into Yogyakarta Farmers and Their Hopes for Regeneration”, highlighted the findings of her research.
