Faculty of Agriculture UGM Promotes Food Security in Sukoharjo Through Backyard Land Utilization

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has launched a community service program titled “Optimizing Backyard Land for Enhancing Sub-Urban Household Food Security in Sukoharjo Regency.” This program involved a team consisting of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, including Hariyani Dwi Anjani, S.P., M.Sc., Asih Kusumaningsih, S.P., M.Sc., Dr. Ega Adhi Wicaksono, S.Pi., and 5 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Agriculture UGM. read more

Commitment to Quality Education, Agricultural Microbiology Study Program Achieves Excellent Accreditation from BAN-PT

The Agricultural Microbiology Study Program , Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has successfully achieved excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) at the undergraduate level. This accreditation is valid from 5 November 2024 to 10 April 2029, as a recognition of the quality of education, research, and community service provided by the Study Program.

The Head of the Study Program, Ir. Ngadiman, M.Si., Ph.D., stated that this achievement is the result of hard work from all academic staff. He hopes this recognition will further strengthen the program’s commitment to improving the quality of education. read more

Faculty of Agriculture UGM’s Community Service: Enhancing Farmers’ Capacity through Rapid Assessment Training on Dryland Soil in Purworejo

A team of academics and researchers led by Nur Ainun H.J. Pulungan, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., together with other expert lecturers and students from Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), conducted a training program titled “Rapid Assessment of Dryland Soil Fertility Using the Dryland Soil Testing Kit (PUTK)” in Loano, Purworejo. The training program spans eight months, from 29 February to 9 December 2024, and aims to enhance farmers’ capacity to assess soil fertility quickly and efficiently. read more
