Faculty of Agriculture UGM Provides Orientation for New Lecturers

The Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), organized an orientation program for new lecturers on Wednesday and Thursday, 4-5 September 2024. The event was attended by all new lecturers, including prospective civil servants (CASN) and permanent lecturers appointed by the Rector, as well as departmental and faculty leaders. This program was designed to equip young lecturers with essential knowledge and skills before entering their teaching and research roles.

Held at the Venture Lab on the 6th floor of the AGLC Building, the orientation was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D. In his remarks, he emphasized the crucial role of lecturers in shaping outstanding graduates in the agricultural sector. He highlighted the values of integrity, innovation, and collaboration in the teaching process, while underlining the faculty’s vision and mission encapsulated in the tagline “Smart Eco-Bioproduction.” This vision consists of six pillars: crop, smart, eco, bio-production, agribusiness, and communication. By understanding this framework, new lecturers are expected to contribute actively and collaborate enthusiastically. read more

Master’s Program Agronomy UGM Achieves “Excellent” Accreditation from BAN-PT for 2024–2027

The Master’s Program in Agronomy at the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has proudly earned an “Excellent” accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), effective from 19 August 2024 to 30 May 2027. This recognition reflects the program’s exceptional quality in education and research.

The “Excellent” accreditation was granted following a rigorous evaluation process, encompassing curriculum standards, facilities, and the performance of both faculty and students. Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture, expressed her pride in this achievement, attributing it to the collective efforts of the academic community in consistently improving educational standards. read more

Commemorating the XV Lustrum, Faculty of Agriculture Library Holds Exciting Events

In celebration of its XV Lustrum, the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) Library organized a series of engaging activities on Friday, 6 September 2024. The event, themed “Library Literacy Week: 75th Anniversary,” welcomed students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of Agriculture and featured activities including a fitness session and an awards ceremony for winners of the XV Lustrum Library challenges.

The event began with a group exercise session held at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Stage Area. Participants from diverse backgrounds enthusiastically followed the movements led by a professional instructor. The fresh morning atmosphere added to the participants’ enthusiasm for exercising together. read more
