Nadya Mangesti Wibowo (Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness 2022) was awarded Best Presenter at The 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Socioeconomics, Agribusiness, and Rural Development (ICSASARD) 2024, under the sub-theme Inclusive Rural Development. The award was presented on October 17, 2024, at The Alana Hotel Yogyakarta. Nadya’s presentation, titled “The ‘Dadi Wong’ Philosophy: A Glimpse into Yogyakarta Farmers and Their Hopes for Regeneration”, highlighted the findings of her research.

AgriFest 2024, organized by UGM’s Center for Agrotechnology Innovation (PIAT), provided a platform for a Faculty of Agriculture UGM student to practice public speaking skills. On the first day of the national talk show held on Thursday, 5 September 2024, Havidah Tria Yunita, a student from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (class of 2021), was entrusted as the moderator for Session I. The session’s theme was “Strengthening Food Security Programs to Realize the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045”.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic officially inaugurated the Honorary Consulate General Representative Office in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on Tuesday, 29 October 2024. The office is located at the Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC) Building, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM.
The establishment of this Honorary Consulate General Representative Office marks a strategic step to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Czech Republic, focusing on economic, cultural, and educational cooperation. The event was attended by several notable figures.
