As part of the peak event for Lustrum X, the Keluarga Mahasiswa Ilmu Tanah (KMIT) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) held a talkshow themed “Indonesia and the World’s Food Barn in 2045” at the DPD RI Building in Yogyakarta. The talkshow discussed Indonesia’s crucial role in ensuring global food security, featuring Arini Wahyu Utami, M.Sc., Ph.D. (lecturer in the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program at Faperta UGM) and Elki Setiyo Hadi (Walhi Yogyakarta) as speakers.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has received excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science. This accreditation is valid from 12 November 2024 to 21 May 2026 and serves as recognition of the program’s excellence in education, research, and community service. Dr. Ir. Endang Sulistyaningsih, M.Sc., the head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science, hopes that this excellent recognition will further enhance the commitment of the academic community.
The Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (PKP) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) has officially published a book titled “Millennial Innovation, Building the Future of Agriculture” on Wednesday, 23 October 2024. This book is the work of students participating in the Publishing Management Practicum, featuring a collection of innovative articles about millennial farmers in Yogyakarta.
Supported by the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics and Adipura Publishing, this publication serves as a testament to student collaboration in creating sustainable agricultural solutions for the future.
